The Tallahassee/Leon County City Nature Challenge is coming up in a few short weeks. This event, held between April 26 and 29, encourages people to document as many different species of plants and animals as possible in Leon County using the app or website, iNaturalist. We will be competing against 170 other cities around the world and, due to our high biodiversity, have a pretty good shot of winning. Apalachee Audubon, FWC, WFSU, IFAS, and several other organizations have partnered to hold events aimed at exposing residents to the nature around them. Consider taking part in the challenge or, better yet, volunteering at Lake Elberta during our event there on April 27. Email Peter for how you can get involved at pnkleinhenz@gmail.com
