Location: 4000 N Meridian Rd, Tallahassee, FL 32312
Description: Elinor Klapp-Phipps Park is a great overwintering spot for birds. We will target Northern Flicker, Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, Red-headed Woodpecker, Eastern Bluebird, American Robin, Hermit Thrush, Cedar Waxwing, Brown-headed Nuthatch, Brown Creeper, Golden-crowned Kinglet, Blue-headed Vireo, Orange-crowned Warbler, Black-and-White Warbler, and American Goldfinch. We will meet at Phipps Park Gate B at 7:30 to sign waivers. This is just up the street from the soccer field complex parking lot. We will walk approximately 3-4 miles. The trails are relatively easy, but do have some topography and occur on natural terrain. This trip will be limited to 15 people.
